SHARING THE ACCOMPLIHMENTS OF AFRICAN AMERICANS IN NORTHERN NEVADA HISTORY

Gemma Greene Waldron

Gemma Greene Waldron was born in New York and moved to the Los Angeles area early in her life where she attended high school and completed her undergraduate education.

After passing the American Bar Association for Washington and Nevada Gemma moved to Reno Nevada where she eventually became Deputy District Attorney for Washoe County. After retiring from the county she opened up her own law practice and for several years assisted low income clients. She also served many years as a member of Northern Nevada Black Cultural Awareness Society (NNBCAS) and presided over this organization between 1996-1998.

Gemma openly provided her service and support to the Northern Nevada community and often worked behind the scenes in making Northern Nevada a more positive place to live.
